Distance Measurement Using Lasers.

Abstract:
Laser rangefinders are not a new technology, and their development
intially evolved from the techniques used for the determination of the
velocity of light. Today, these rangefinders are becoming smaller, more
portable and very accurate and their uses are many and varied.
This document briefly discusses a thesis project undertaken to design
and implement a short range laser rangefinder for applications such as
in surveying, construction and recreation.
