Coke.net: A Vending Machine on the Internet

Abstract:
The purpose of this thesis project, as shown in this conference paper, is to develop an Internet interface for a vending machine so that its status may be monitored remotely. The system which performs this task was then designed. This design essentially consist of a 486 DX2-66 PC with a network interface adaptor card, running the Linux operating system and an Apache web-server. The results of this thesis have been documented and from this conclusions have been made. Also given are some examples of future developments for this design.
